The Department of Santali offers a broad range of Santali Literature, thereby including a thorough knowledge of tribal culture and indigenous tradition. It also aims to contribute to the development of Alchiki script and Santali folk tradition. Supported by a huge electronic database containing e-texts and critical essays as well as a well-equipped library, it will help develop a perfect scholarly ambience.
