POLYPHONY: BANKURA UNIVERSITY JOURNAL OF EDUCATION
The inception of Bankura University in 2014 marked a significant milestone in the realm of higher education in West Bengal, India. Established with the vision of promoting academic excellence and fostering intellectual growth, the university quickly emerged as a hub of learning and research across various disciplines.
As part of its commitment to advancing knowledge in the field of education, the Department of Education at Bankura University embarked on a journey to create a platform for scholars, educators, and researchers to disseminate their work and engage in scholarly dialogues. This endeavour led to the establishment of the departmental journal, "Polyphony: Bankura University Journal of Education."
The Journal name coined by the then esteemed Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Deb Narayan Bandopadhyay, in 2022, "Polyphony: Bankura University Journal of Education" reflects the diverse voices and perspectives that contribute to the vibrant discourse on education. The journal's title encapsulates the ethos of the department, emphasizing the multiplicity of viewpoints and the richness of dialogue that characterize scholarly inquiry in education.

Polyphony: Bankura University Journal of Education" is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing knowledge and fostering scholarly discourse in the field of education within the broader context of humanities and social science.
The journal aims to promote Interdisciplinary Dialogue. It seeks to facilitate interdisciplinary dialogue by welcoming contributions that explore intersections between education and other disciplines within the humanities and social sciences. This includes but is not limited to fields such as psychology, sociology, anthropology, history, philosophy, literature, and cultural studies.
The Journal also provides a platform for scholars, educators, researchers to disseminate original research findings, theoretical perspectives, empirical studies and innovative practices related to education.
"Polyphony" encourages critical inquiry into key issues and debates shaping the field of education within the broader context of humanities and social science. The Journal welcomes articles that offer theoretical insights, methodological innovation, critical analysis and reflections on current trends in humanities and social science.

Guidelines for Authors:
• Paper must be an original and unpublished contribution
• The manuscripts, i.e. the length of the full paper should be clearly typed and should not exceed 5000 words
• The author should (strictly) follow the UGC Norms of Plagiarism
• Format: Latest APA style
• Language: English only
The title page (in MS. Word)
• Title must be written in Times New Roman, Font Size 14, Bolt typed; Sub-Title: Times New Roman, Font Size 14, Bolt typed.
• All the authors' name as per the order of the author (e.g., 1st author, 2nd author, etc.)
• Corresponding authors' name
• Designation
• Institution name &address
• Email id Contact no of the corresponding author
• Brief bio note (not more than 200 words) of all the contributors

The abstract of the chapter (not more than 300words)
• At least five keywords (each keyword should be separated by semicolon e.g. Covid-19; Health).
• Abstract must be written in Times New Roman, Font Size 12
Declaration (PDF File)
Once the paper is accepted the contributors have to submit duly signed declaration (scanned copy) form.
Disclosure of any conflict of interest (PDF File)
It will be the statement from all the contributing authors about the conflict of interest (if any or if not any to be mentioned clearly).

There will be no author information.
• The main document should be divided into following subtitles-
1) Abstract
2) Introduction/ Background
3) Materials and methods
4) Results
5) Discussion
6) Conclusion/ Summary
7) References
• All figures and tables will be numbered sequentially (e.g. Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and so on for figures or table 1, table 2 and so on for tables or plate 1, plate 2 and so on for plates).
• The figures and tables will be placed at their desired locations.
• Please check carefully that all tables, figures, and plates have captions and the sources are specifically mentioned.
